ADSL line problem

hi all,

it seems that I am having some issues with my ADSL line, it will drop the connection every now and then, the LINK light on the modem will start flashing slowly (like after modem power reset, when reconnecting) for a while, anything between 5 min and 1 hour, then it reconnects and everything works fine. That happens like 3-10 times a day.

On the ISP side, there is "Port Error" message as the reason for session termination, on my side there is a: "No response to 3 echo-requests. Serial link appears to be disconnected. Connection terminated."

I am waiting for telkom to answer the phone for the last 30 min or so, so I decided to drop a new thread, if somebody has had similar issue please advice as to what the problem could be. Just want to be prepared for dealing with the incompetent telkom staff.

I had this exact same problem yesterday and the first half of today upto 1pm I logged a complaint with telscum and since then it hasn't happend again. There has been some talk about Telkom having some technical problems today.

i also been having same probs from monday but tryin to get in contact with the ass holes from adsl tech stinks i gace up tryin to get in contact with those useless ass holes
