ADSL line rental

Hi,

I am a little confused to what I should be paying for my DSL line... Hope someone can shed some light on this matter.

I signed up for a 4meg Telkom line last year in March. I wasn't upgraded to a 10meg line in November. I would just like to know what I should be paying for my 4meg line...

I got the following from the Telkom website:

Fastest DSL - up to 10 Mbps - R425.00
Faster DSL - up to 4 Mbps - R299.00
Fast DSL - up to 2 Mbps - R65.00

I spoke to a Telkom rep today and they told me that I am currently on the "Fastest DSL" which according to the above is 10 Mbps @ R425 pm. Shouldn't I be only paying R299 now since I was never upgraded to 10 Mbps line?

Yes, you're paying too much. Ask them to move you from DSL Fastest to DSL Faster.
