ADSL line speed slow

Hi need a bit of advice, i have a 4mb line that on www.speedtest.net only get around 1.64mb/s i have tried it with unshaped accounts got a 16gb normal account form telkom all the same, the router shows 4096 down and 512 up am i missing something or other settings i should check?

Unfortunately Telkom only guarantee up to 4MB. SO even though you're router is synched at 4MB it doesn't mean you'll get 4MB. What are your line stats like?
