Line syncing at 4096 / 480 It was constant 512 since they increases upload speeds.

Now the thing is. I haven't reported any faults and there were no issues as far as I'm aware.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Why would Telscum just change our profile for no reason?

AFAIK, if your line doesn't sync with reasonable stability, the speed you'll resync at after a drop in connection will often be lower than 512k. For example with me, I have very bad sync issues and when I resync it'll always be at lower upstream and downstream speeds so maybe post your attenuation & margin stats to see if they're in a good range.

Upstream 480 kbps
Downstream 4096 kbps
Noise Margin (Upstream) 6.0 db
Noise Margin (Downstream) 8.0 db
Attenuation (Upstream) 10.5 db
Attenuation (Downstream) 21.0 db

Margin looks a bit low.

Try disconnecting all phones/faxes in the house and connect the router straight to the line, no surge protectors or anything and reboot the router. Do you still sync at sub-512k upstream?

Will try it later or tomorrow. It might just be a busted filter again. Strange reading advice that I usually give, lol :p Thanks

With that SNR margin your lucky not to be having disconnect issues. In the field anything below 12 db usually causes problems on a 4MB line.

What router do you have?

I have a Mega 100WR (which you already know :D) and I managed to get it setup with Router Stats pretty easily.

Yep, you're getting too technical :p I meant router statistics, not the program router stats :p ROFL :D

Only time I've had line problems is when I was upgraded, maybe for a few minutes, that's it.

SNR - higher is better (aim for 10dB or higher)
Attenuation - lower is better (aim for 20dB or lower)

Unplugged all lines, except ADSL and it still syncs at 480. This tells me Teslcum changed the profile, bunch of mongrels..
