ADSL Line Sync?!

May have missed some posts about the same thing but my adsl is syncing alot higher than 4096 like it usually does.... I'm currently sync'd at :

Downstream 6144kbps
Upstream 640kbps

Any1 else getting higher syncs?

Did you get this info from your router? Or from a ADSL testing site?

ok so even on 4mbit/s i usually got around 2.8mbps down which is obviously because of my distance from the exchange however I decided to test my upload speed.... strangely enough my sync speeds could be correct coz I maxed 3 simultaneous ftp uploads of 10MB files to different locations at a combined speed in excess of 580kbit/s... I averaged around 520kbit/s for these uploads. Even single thread is the same speed as three threads.

It's all rather odd...

I wouldn't get too excited about this since telscum is only capable of providing half of the 4mbps speed most of the time anyway... now if there was a reliable 8 or 15mbps adsl2+ service on trial
