Adsl line transfer back to telkom

Hi

I got my adsl line at another ISP. In order to get the line back to telkom, what would be the best way to go?
Also if the line is transferred back, is there any downtime?
Other alternative is to cancel and re apply for a new adsl line.
Reason is I got a 384k line + data package and want to upgrade to the 1mb line and go to another ISP.

canceling and reapplying may sometimes end up being quicker than waiting on the transfer. but there might then not be available ports in your area, then it's no internet for a while

They can transfer the line for you & there's no downtime.

I had my line with SAOL and they transfered it back to telkom after the notice period without downtime. They said if you reapply for a line it will take much longer. I had no downtime and just got a notice that it was done.

Let your ISP transfer it back, you wont have any downtime (mine was also done by SAOL it took about 1 month which was SAOL notice period), the last thing you want is to cancel and then good old Telkom telling you there is not ports available or some other crazy story which they are all to good at!!

This is good advice, went the same route and the lesson learned was never, but never give your line to a isp.
