Afternoon!
That definitely sounds like we weren't being proactive enough with your ADSL fault.
Can I ask that you please send me a PM with your ADSL line number as well as your Ticket Reference number so that I can follow-up on this for you.
AH always blame Telkom. With me it was the same. I only stay with AH, because they do not throttle.
So we are now 2 days later, no response from Afrihost. Pm was answered with a promise to get a response, but nothing happened...... yet.......if ever.
On their website it states "We deal with Telkom on your behalf for all DSL related issues" --> not true, they are worse than Telkom in that regard.
Logged my own ticket with Telkom.

Every session is where the line loses sync.
Sorry to hear
If AfriGenie did have any feedback from Telkom he would definitely have let you know. I think he escalated the fault for you last week. He's in a little later today - I'll gladly follow up and re-escalate if need me. Drop me a PM with the details
Just a heads up, it's a good idea to only have one fault logged. If we have one logged and then you log one - chances are Telkom will close both for duplicated tickets. We're doing our best to get the line fixed for you, but please try and understand that in some cases our hands can become tied.
Time to give some feedback, 1 month ADSL downtime. Line still losing sync every couple of minutes, sometimes it sounds like a blizzard, sometimes there is no dial tone. Currently ADSL router just reports Connecting->No Signal -> Connnecting -> No Signal.
2 Faults closed by telkom with no improvement. 1 currently open (logged by Afrihost)
1 Fault closed by Afrihost, 1 currently open (WSC #OXC-557-16234 and WSC #PEP-497-53131)
Afrihost logged a fault with Telkom as "No Authentication", clearly they do not understand the concept "Line losing sync".
At this stage I am considering cancelling my ADSL and going with a WISP, sorry afrihost but your service seems very similar to telkom. Empty promises. "I will look into it"
I have contacted TelkomZA, as a last attempt!
We're escalating and following up with Telkom whenever and wherever we can. I see the fault was re-escalated to Telkom Management yesterday afternoon.
