ADSL .. mine ALL mine ..

Well after a wait of 29 days Telkom installed my ADSL line 2 days early (can you believe it!). My schedueled date was Friday, I called and asked if they could call me in the morning before they came in and I got a call about 10 minutes later asking if I wanted my line installed Wednesday instead of Friday, how could I say no

So thats 3rd of Jan 2006 - 29th Jan 2006. Yes it was frustrating, and my order did get lost .. 3 times and the technician did get to my house and THEN called me at work telling me he was already there .. but hey .. ITS IN

Anyway this allows me to now post and complain about the state of broadband in this country 24/7 instead of being limited to 7-to-7.

congrats...same thing happened to me with installation. was to be done on a friday and they actually called me on thurs telling me the techncian just happen to be by my house and can they install it on thurs...enjoy ADSL.

South Africans should stand up and demand service like this. The people in the rest of the world would consider 8 days normal.

When I was in New Zealand, it took NZ Telecom 2 days to install a telephone line for me.
