ADSL & Mirc

I normally connect to the newnet server with mirc, but I get really bad download speeds. Speed is 4-6kB at the most. They have some really good stuff on there, but speed is an issue. Are the any ways of tweaking Mirc so I can increase the speed. I know it also depends who u dl from.

If you are on telkom adsl you cant try setting cache.saix.net as your proxy firewall server. Dont know if that will help. Also to stop people getting confused here I believe you are referring to the exchange of files via DCC.

Its really badly shaped, so let me know if you get around that one.
