ADSL Modem keeps resetting

I have over the weekend up to now had the problem that my modem keeps resetting itself. I am lucky to be able to post this message. I had the Telkom 5100 up to this morning whereafter a call to the desktop support i went and changed it for the 5102G. This however does the same. As soon as the connection is ready it restarts immediately. Sometimes, like now, it stays on for about 5 min before resetting. Any idea what could be the cause of this?

Can't say for sure whats causing the problem. All I wanted to say is that those telkom adsl routers are rubbish. I have sent back 3 from the same client in the past, and sent back two at our own office (bought before I got here).

I would suggest borrowing somebody else's router or something to test it out, or log a call with Telkom and wait a few days..

yea i got a mecer 4 port router for r450 and havent had, wait im not say it i hear lightning

resets on two different units = line/DSLAM port problems.

Have u checked the MicroFilters on any other phone lines in the house?

My phone line is actually off. Didn't know as i don't use a landline. Could it be a line problem?
