my problem is, my modem working on windows vista but its not working on windows 7.

registry settings in “WAN/ATM/ADSL miniport” MAC address 12 characters with ¬ character. so its like “0015DBA5F31D¬” it has 13 characters.in device mngr its show as “FFFFFFFFFFFF”.(its broadcast address)
after remove that character from registry, device mngr show it as “0015DBA5F31D” like vista. but after modem remove and plugin that MAC address replace with that character. which file replace registry settings ?

i think this is the problem why its not connect to internet on windows 7. windows 7 driver working correctly because its connect to ADSL but i cants connect to internet.

if you have any idea please tell me its great help

thank you,

I'm not sure why you're even fiddling with MAC addresses/registry settings for a modem connection?

Are you dialing the PPPoE connection from the PC via an ADSL modem that is connected with Ethernet (LAN cable/WiFi connection) to the PC?
If that's the case, then the operating system shouldn't make any difference. I've only experienced problems with Linux operating systems that don't get IP addresses from the DHCP servers.

thank you for your replys
actually its not Ethernet modem its USB connection. its working on vista with no problem but on windows 7 driver installed correctly and its can connect to ADSL no problem. when dialing PPPoE connection all goes correctly but when its come to check username/password its stop and show error 628.

i told that MAC address because of when i check the device mngr i found that different between vista and windows7.
WAN/ATM/ADSL miniport MAC 0015DBA5F31D as normal in vista and FFFFFFFFFFFF in windows7 (broadcast one). thats why i think problem with that MAC address. to establish the connection MAC address is important thing i think correct me if i wrong.
