I'm switching to ADSL from iBurst and I need to know if I must buy a modem or if my current router can do the job.

It's a Canyon CN-WF514M and I'm currently using it with iBurst to connect via PPPOE. (And also to run our home network)

Do I need to buy a modem still? If so, what's the cheapest option? Options on the Telkom order form are...

- Mega 105
- Mega 200
- Billion
- USB

I'm in IT (web development) but ADSL baffles me.

Thanks!

It looks like if you want to use your device to access DSL you will need to connect it up to a ADSL modem, so maybe it's best to just get a whole new ADSL modem/router device in one.

As far as Telkom device's go, I personally have an ADSL 5102G and it's given me between 1 and 2 years of no hassle use, however I have heard a few horror stories about other Telkom devices.
