Hi Chaps,
I currently have an N12U ASUS Router. However in the last week the router keeps dropping wifi connection. Ie. my devices just drop the connection or my laptop says "limited connectivity". I have a 2200 Netgear backup modem which I switched over to. The problem disappeared, but the signal is so weak from it's meagre antennae that my extender doesnt barely pick it up.
So, I would have to conclude that the ASUS is damaged, probably by a surge.
So, the question is what would you recommend as the way forward. A modem seperate to a router or a combo job? What brand / model?
I have seen the new AC1750 routers coming through. Is it worth getting this?
Thanks
Aharon
