Mother nature just fried my ADSL modem. I need to get a new one. What is the best modem to get for Noisy ADSL lines? I had a DSL2500-u in bridge mode, so all I need is the same chip and bridge mode.

Sorted.

Most stable I've found with good wifi range is the Telkom huawei media gateway,hg532 is the model number.

My adsl line is poor and this cheapy modem gives me better adsl stability than my R3k tp link router even.I use my tp link as a router only now.

Not sure where you are located. I have a brand new DSL2500-u still sealed in its box if you are in Cape Town. PM if you interested.

I have been very happy with a cheap Tenda router similar to the D301 which sells for around R300. Most of the Tenda devices use the latest Broadcom router processors so the performance on long noisy ADSL lines is very good. The D301 uses the same Broadcom BCM6318 chipset (more recent than BCM6338 in the 2500-U) as the Huawei HG532d and the high end TP-Link Archer D7 and D9 routers. The WiFi range on most of the Tenda devices is also very good.
