ADSL Move

Currently have an ADSL line in my area - moving house two roads up - Telkom states they can't move it for 2 months due to a project in the area "there are no ports in the exchange".

But... I have an account...... wtf telkom

hmmm interesting. I did a line move this month. I used the online application. They moved the line within 5 days of me filling in the form. What route did you follow? Was it a sales consultant at Telkom Direct that provided you with that info? Hope you find a means around this

I'm studying - losing my adsl line is not an option

Not necessarily a solution to your problem, but I see if you go via this route it is free and you receive a cordless phone.

Thanks for the link - OpenWeb has been kind enough to try assist - if they don't get any joy I will just have to go wireless for 2 months
