Am I the only one suffering with really unstable connectivity atm? I'm getting random pages not opening because Firefox "cannot make a connection to the server" but if I try again it's fine... WTF?

Could it be fscked DNS entries? I tried using the SAIX cache as a workaround, but then I get "The proxy is refusing connections"!!!
 I don't have time for this ****.

what are your dns servers in use at the moment?

My router was set to autodiscover DNS servers, but I manually input the SAIX DNS servers - no difference.

I think it may be a line problem... I've just been running some pings and am getting a lot of dropped packets...

Time to phone the hell that is 0800375375 :(

haha :P yah if you get packet loss to the wan gateway or saix-196.25.1.200 then its bad news.. but make sure the loss is not occuring between u and your router.

Miracles do happen...

suddenly everything is ok... must have been some maintenance on the exchange or similar.

We've had some issues connecting to Guildwars, but flushdns fixes it...

I had problems the whole weekend. I was pretty lucky it seems Telkom brought in a bunch of guys from Cape Town to help in my area and the techie came out on Sunday.

Seems they are busy with big upgrades at some of their bigger exchanges causing the connectivity problems..

I have also been experiencing random drop this weekend sometimes it would last and hour sometimes the whole night,

Now since this morning i cannot connect at all, i live in the gardens area of Cape Town, anyone else also having problems this morning,

ISP - WebAfrica Unshaped Pre-Paid
Telkom 4mb line.
