ADSL Noob Question

Hi. Guys.

I will be signing with the devil ... but i must say i am sort of quite excited about it .. Because i am tired of " A wolf in sheeps clothing" AKA iBurst.

My real question is : i am unsure on what line i want to get for home. The line wont be used for massive downloads mainly for the odd patch from the online games i play. ie; BF2, BF2142, Guildwars and WOW.. do you think the 386 will be fine to run multiple games online ???

I have 384k and I've found it works well for gaming. Hell, I'm sure if they still offered 192k you could get away with using that even. You should have no probs with Guild Wars (there was no lag that I noticed while using my IS account) but for FPS games, you'd best stick to local servers.

ADSL does have its problems, but I think you'll much prefer it over iBurst, especially since you're gaming .

Start with 384 and increase it as necessary. With telkom upgrading is free but downgrading carries a fee.

ah thnx for the info. yeah will go for 384 1st then .... any ideas of a nice isp ?? that wont cut you off right on your cap. ie. Telkom internet will throttle your int. link when you reached your cap. and i see most isp's just cut you off on the dot
