Hi,
Need some advice from any of you fundis. I have three ADSl lines available. I have a lan with 15 workstations. What i would like to do is share the 3 ADSl lines among these workstations. What would be the best way to go about it ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Keru,
My idea would be to setup each router with its own IP address.
Then the first 5 pc`s would have it`s Default gateway as that of the 1st router IP address;the next 5 of the second router etc etc.
On each machine the DNS would be primary:196.25.1.11 and secondary : 196.43.1.11 .
Your entire network can still have their own range of IP addresses eg 192.168.0.1~15 then the routers can be 192.168.0.20~23 .
Do remember though that if you do it this way you will have to disable DHCP on the router(Depending on the router you have)

Hope it works

Hi Sonny

Thanks for the advice. I tried that. BTW we have the marconi routers from telkom. The minute I put in the gateway details and a static IP address then I can't connect to the net.

Regards

On the router, go to "basic config" and then click on system...here you will change the primary and secondary dns servers to 196.25.1.11 and 196.43.1.11 respectively.Click on finish at the bottom;SAVE/RESTART on the left then on the right on SAVE and then RESTART.
Once the router has restarted go to DHCP under Basic Config and click on "disable" then Click on finish at the bottom;SAVE/RESTART on the left then on the right on SAVE and then RESTART.
Once this has been done theoretically you should be able enter on your network card your IP address your subnet mask; your gateway(IP of the router) and the 2 DNS servers above.
Also make sure in your IE browser if you click on TOOLS;Internet Options and then connections that it is set to never dial a connection and then click on LAN settings and make sure that Automatically detect settings is unticked as well as Use Proxy server.OK this all the way out, close your browser, reopen and try.
If all else fails try pinging the modem or secondary DNS server to see if you are seeing out.
Try that and see::::good luck

Anyone think i am missing something please advise!!!
