ADSL options for more upload speed.

Hi everyone.

My landlord is wanting to use make HD Skype calls for his (home-based) business and has been told that it is recommended he have an upload speed of 1.5Mbps. All of the home ADSL packages appear to have a 512 kbps upload rate. What packages are available which would get him the upload rate he needs? I'm not familiar with all of the packages offered by Telkom atm.

We live in Grahamstown so the newer technologies such as fibre or LTE are not available to us out here in the sticks.

Options are slim. Post or PM your address (or general area) and budget so we can suggest realistic options
 
Your closest bet if you can only get ADSL is 8mb or higher ADSL which carries a 1mb upload.
20mb VDSL has 2mb upstream.
 
I can stream a skype call on a 10Mbps/1Mbps line without issues, not HD but it works.
Sadly the ADSL2+ specification does not go above 1Mbps.
 
We live in Lawrence Street in Sunnyside, Grahamstown. I don't believe that budget is too much of an option as long as it gets the required speeds.
