I am currently using a 384k line with a 5gb account. cost is R400 per month. i play Battlefield Bad company2 & black ops online. would it be wise to get the 8ta R199 special. i would get more data plus faster speeds for R200 less a month. my main concern is the latency. I will be playing BF3 when it comes out. Can one share the connection as i have 2 other pc's and a x360 on my adsl line.

IMO if you have decent reception this should be an option. What bothers me is that it is a 24 month contract. Should the network start giving problems (like a lot of people experienced with CellC whoosh), you are locked into your contract.

Sharing the connection shouldn't be a problem, you just need to set it up.

will be looking at the R199 deal with the 7.2mbps donlge. Anyone know if there would be any benifets with the 21mbps dongle for gaming. also does 8ta have an unrestricted APN. some games i play prefer you to have an open NAT, like COD MW2.
Where does one check to see where the towers are in there area?

Send a PM to the 8ta rep. He'll have to get confirmation from the 8ta propeller-heads!

My 384k ADSL has been crap for over a year now. I'm seriously considering this 8ta offer to replace my ADSL service as a whole.

I'm also on 384kb a DSL and looking into this deal. I play bfbc2 a well and my only worry is latency! Can anyone report back on their experiences?

Well i think i am going to can the 384k line. Also why pay for an analogue line just to get adsl when one does not use a telephone. I have been kicked form BFBC2 plenty of times because my ping gets above 500ms. don't think it could be any worse on the 3g / hspa+

CPA says no!

If you opt out you are only liable for a maximum penalty of 10% (or about 2 1/2 months).

Anyone know if I can get 3x the R199 a month deals for 30gb monthly cap??
