ADSL Order

I placed my order almost 3 weeks ago. I have regularly called Telkom to find out the status of the order. It went into scheduling after a week and has been with scheduling for about 2 weeks. I have received the following answers from them:

1) The query has been escalated an I should received a call within 48 hours. They never call back.
2) Their systems were down.
3) I should call back in a couple of days time to find out when the installation has been scheduled.

I'm get the feeling that these are standard answers and nothing is really being done. Maybe I'm just paranoid and don't trust Telkom.

Those are standard answers, the other all time favourite is that there are no ports available - I've been waiting since 7 July - given up at this stage and got iBurst.
 
Took me 12 days on the self install option.

I called every day at least once. (10219, networks and 0800 375375)

I found that adsl helpdesk was the best. I got the name of one of the helpdesk staff, and spoke to her every time I called in, she was actually very helpfull (Needless to say I was very suprised)

Self install is easy and seems to cut down on total install time.
 
Well thanks for giving me hope, they told me today that the port has been located and all they have to do is organise the date, so that means no dsl for holz but hey.
