Hi guys and girls

Would you please take the time to contribute to this ADSL petition. So far there are 683 sigs, although im not sure what the author is asking but im sure its for a good cause.

Cmon sign up, viva la telkom resistance!

Hmm I only see now that this petition is over one year old. 27November 2003 I think it started. Is it still valid or does it prove to us that its pointless trying to defeat telkom this way?

Well, they don't at a site called "petitiononline.com" which quite clearly indicates that the person who started it isn't exactly serious or a serious contender.

You would have to register a proper domain, preferably an org.za, do a top notch design, get people like rpm and MaD involved, get all your facts 100% straight and do a media blitz.

Even then, it'll be pointless because 99% of people that could afford ADSL or have it at work already don't give a rats ass.

I think what rpm & MaD are doing is the right way - chipping away in areas where it counts, until Joe Public starts to think "hey, wait a minute, why is my internet 5x more expensive than in India and 10x more than the UK ?"

It's only when the public is made aware of what the situation is that there will be a chance of prices coming down.

Can anyone get a list of all ADSL subscribers from a Telkom database? I will personally sponsor the cost to mail everyone information gathered on MyADSL over the time its been running
