Hi all.. well im kinda new to this blogging thing so please help me out :)
I'v had telkoms 384kbps adsl line for some time now and been getting into light online gaming..384 line isnt too bad bad i get bad spikes for easy an hour..

So i want to up my line speed to the 1mb .. im running 'like i said' the 384kbps line and 10gig data package
i Dont even use 4gig with online gaming..

So what im asking now is.. whats the price on a 1mb line and 5 or even 10gig data package..and who to use as my ISP

Thank you

Hmmm if that's true..what a bargain!!... but if i have to wait 6-12 months for that maybe to happen..is it worth the wait??..

Dont mind me asking but where did you hear about this rumour?

Nice!...well i heard just now that it was on the radio aswell ..so its happening..when i'd like to know :)

Hmmm if they say June..lets add another month or two to be safe .. :) it is Telkom after all..so if all the speeds are getting up'd
whats the 10mb going to be?

AFAiK , its 384 > 1MB and 1MB > 2MB

They still busy with 10 / 20 / 40MB trials so we got to wait longer (probably not so with 10MB as it is slowly moving along now :) ).

In the wake of recent Telkom IP Connect (IPC) price reductions, MWEB has cut the price of some of their uncapped ADSL data accounts by up to 33%.MWEB has cut the price of their 1Mbps uncapped ADSL data account by R100 from R299 to R199 per month, where as the business uncapped 1Mbps service has been reduced from R986 to R799 per month.MWEB has also reduced the pricing of they 384kpbs uncapped data accounts from R219 to R199 bringing it in line with the new 1Mbps service. The reason for this is because MWEB would like to make 1Mbps the new entry level uncapped product in South Africa. MWEB has further stated that they will offer free upgrades for current 384kbps customers to 1Mbps free of charge. The new MWEB uncapped ADSL pricing is available with immediate effect to all new customers, and existing customers will be automatically upgraded from 1 June 2012.

Line rentals are the same, as they hire Telkom lines, but the data packages are different prices
