ADSL problem

Hi guys. I'm writing while I still have a connection. My router is in bridged mode and I dial up via the connections in XP to my various accounts. For some reason, it's not working today. I've been lucky to get this connection for now but whenever I wanna connect, it doesn't wanna. It doesn't even get as far as verifying username and password. It bombs out on the first dialog. I tried getting through to Telkom, but we all know how that story goes. They called me back but when I answered, there was no one on the other side Please help ASAP. What could be the reason for my accounts not connecting? All the lights on my router are as they should be, ie: there is a dsl link.

Oh thank you! I was hoping it was an error on their side. I hope they sort it out ASAP cos I have a billion stuff to download tomorrow

As I said in that other thread once you connect DO NOT disconnect or you will battle to reconnect again.

Yeah I learned the hard way. I've been fortunate enough to connect twice but I ain't disconnecting now. Any ETA as to when it will be resolved?

No idea, but with telkom it could be quite awhile.

Took me over an hour to get through to them on the phone and as soon as they answered the phone it reconnected.
They did say they had a problem but could not say how long it will take to sort out.

Lol. The same thing happened to me earlier - I got a connection just before they called back, but when I answered, I was speaking to the walls
Ah well, we can only hope.

Checked this morning and ADSL is still down! When TF are Telkom gonna get their **** together?
