I've been having some problems now for the past couple of days, first the internet disconnected and reconnected again, now today it's been up the whole time but incredibly slow (local transfer rates are about 3-10kb/s). At first i thought it might've been the MTU settings, but i changed it and nothing happened, Its on 1410 bytes at the moment. I did change it to 1492 and down again to 1200 but nothing happened. At first only local sites seemed to have worked, now both work but my downloads are incredibly slow. I'm on Telkom DSL 384 and I use a Billion router 5102g(i think its 5102G), is it just Telkom having some downtime, or is it me?

What is your SNR margin and line attenuation?

And its a Telkom 5102G and not a Billion 5102 G....

Im near Pta with a similar setup to yours it sounds, here's my stats if you wanna compare:

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin : 40.5 27.0 db
Line Attenuation : 26.5 15.5 db
Data Rate : 384 128 kbps

Thanks for the help, but it seems that it was just telkom having some problems with their transparent proxy or something along those lines. My internet works again.
