Hi all,i'd like to find out something ...if you have one phone line that runs down from the telkom post to your house..
Then connects to a white round plastic box which is mounted outside ,then line running into your home.

Now it goes into your modem ect and your connected

Would it work if you run another cable out of that white plastic box to another area in you home and into another modem?

One telephone line,2 lines going to different modems?

Yes, but you will only be able to dial one modem at a time.

If you want to use two or more ADSL accounts get one modem and then two routers. Place the modem in bridge mode and let the routers dial the connections through the modem.

Would help if you give more info, ie what is the purpose of this? What are you trying to accomplish?

Cause the person thats doing this thinks the closer the modem is the faster the download,i've tried and explain it's the website.he gets his software from that limits the downloading speed but he doesnt believe it..

Even unshaped accounts dont reach 30kbps ..i think ill leave him to waste his money on modems ect ..cause talking and explaining doesnt help anymore
