Ok, now I know a lot of people probably ask which internet connection to get but I've only been on 3G. Now my 3G is done and I want to move to Adsl (mainly for the local). I know my line will be much slower but it doesn't really matter to me. I'm looking at getting the Do2 package from telkom. Is there a way to properly get a prepaid/ month to month thing going with this? I don't want to be stuck in a contract when the prices start coming down. Also with this line installation, what is self installation. Sorry people I'm a complete noob when it comes to adsl and my internet's super slow (took 10 min to load page to create this thread) other wise I would have researched more. I already have a normal land line, basically I'm asking what would you get in addition to that for +-R250 a month (think the DO2 package is R258).

Thanks in advance

What I would recommend would be Axxess Prepaid..
If i am not wrong they host adsl aswell? So you can get your line through them too..

Oh and about the installation, it really isn't hard to do yourself, just follow the instructions they give you and you will be fine...

From Telkom Website Link : http://www.do.co.za/broadband/index.html#/products/

* You also qualify for a free Wifi modem if you sign a 24-month contract.
Please also note that with a self installation, no DSL installation fee will be charged.

That means that (1) you don't have to sign a contract but then you must buy your own modem.
(2)Self installation means that you must install the modem yourself and you will not be charged installation fees.
