Has telkom implemented the regulations yet? Is local still capped? Is it still prioritized?

Please shed some info on this

rpm did say when it comes into effect, he said it today on of the threads, if it's been gazzetted in the government gazette it has taken effect, it's just going to take some time for telkom/saix to start with the new rules and regulations, give it a week or two to see a change I'll look for rpm's post and post it here.

I know the regulations are immediate. What i am interested in is whether or not they have been implemented.

My IS account was capped today, 30GB+. So "no", everyone is wiping their a$$ with the regulations (as we expected).

I'm not sure, but a friend of mine has a MWeb 2GB package, he got capped yesterday and says he can still surf locally.

So maybe it has, for some. :o

The plot thickens!
Bet you that these forums are going to be cooking with conspiracy theories on Monday :p

Well I was wondering because I have been able to get goods speeds on International bittorents and limewire without any vpn's etc so maybe ..... no too good to be true! Telkom would make a statement that they are providing better service by dropping the shaping, cap etc.... all for us - never mind the regulations!

what about axxess?

No idea Nokkie. I am only on +/- 14Gb of my 30Gb cap :p
I think all ISP's will be phoning SAIX & Telkom on monday to get more info.
But I bet they will not get any answers soon since Telkom will want to be the first to offer it's customers uncapped local and no port shaping and TAKE THE MARKET!

I wonder if there will be any ISP's left by december other than Telkom :(

is international bandwith also going to be unshaped or is it just local bandwith?

realy wow thats nice!.... mabey we will get uncapped for both as well :P
