Adsl Router or USB modem

I've now applied for ADSL line to be installed (hopefully in next 4 weeks). Can anyone kindly suggest or recommend if I should purchase router or USB. If possible best preformance model, price not important, I just want best one availible. Note I will only be using one computer and of course anolouge phone.

go for router there is so much more you can do ... and more secure to as you will have a buffer to the internet [if enableing security] you will also be able to have mulitiple AC's active at one time ...

Just remember, if you purchase a router, you will have to purchase a network card as well. A USB modem is not bad if you are by yourself. If you do plan to get other PC's connected, you would be better off getting a router and creating a network for the PC's to connect as USB modems struggle to allow Internet connection sharing over a network.

One advantage of USB modems is that they are simpler, relatively, to set up than routers
