ADSL Router Question

I'm an ADSL Noob and was wondering if the following scenarios is possible with an ADSL Router/Modem.

Have three PC's, two connected via ethernet switch. Other not connected to LAN. Can I connect the one PC not connected to the LAN with the ADSL router and then connect the router to the switch, thus giving all PC's net access but retaining the current topology, ie: two connected and third not connected?

how many ports does the router have ?

An ethernet router with 4 ports works like a hub, and anyone connected to that hub or hub's connecting to it can access the initernet. So if you do this all your computers should be on the network. A 1 port router wont work.
