ADSL slow every morning until resync

hi Everyone

I have been trying to figure this out for a long time. Just cannot find any reason for this or how to fix it.

My Noise margin is good, 10-12dB down, 8dB up, G.DMT modulation, 6M/bs line speed.

Every morning the line is giving me slow internet access until I reboot the modem.

I would typically see 1-2Mb/s down on the speedtests until I resynced, then it goes up to 4-5Mb/s

Anyone know what is the reason for this ?

I did a bit of research and some guys say the line gets slower because the noise increases and there are more line errors and it cannot get the speed back up for some unknown reason. I even read some guys overseas puts a 24hour timer plug on their ADSL modem to restart it every morning automatically since they cannot get this sorted out.

Any ideas ?

Oh, I'm on a 100Gb capped data package with Afrihost, 10Mb/s line that I stabilized on 6Mb/s.

My router is a Linksys WAG320N. Seems it is not a much loved router overseas, lots of problems with reboots. I just updated the firmware of the router now and it already gives me a better throughput on speedtest. Maybe it was a latent bug in the software. Will monitor tomorrow morning.

Far from "good", its Above minimum (which is 6).

Obtain a loan router from a friend and test.

I disabled the Logging on the Linksys router as well thinking maybe a memory leak could cause it to run low on resources.

This morning my speed was unaffected, so I think it was the router causing it.

It's most definitely a router problem. Had the same issue with my Billion, would be slow the next morning +-10KB/s until i rebooted it then suddenly I'm back to 200KB\s. Bought a new D-Link, never had a problem since.
