Adsl Slow in Tokai

Does anyone have this, pay for 4 meg get 1.4 meg ?

Hi Kas1,

I'm also in Tokai and over the past week or so my 4Mb line (which I've had for about a year, and has been solid up to now) has also become terrible. My local speeds are about 1.5Mb/s and Intl only 0.5Mb/s.

When did you notice the slowdown in your line? Have you tried a different ISP (I've tried three without any difference)?

Is your line still syncing at 4Mb and what are you ADSL line stats?

I reported the problem to Axxess (who I get my line through) yesterday and they've reported the fault to Telkom - I suggest you do the same.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the construction at Blue Route.

Good luck, but unfortunately Telkom will just reply back with their usual rubbish about how ADSL is a "best-effort" service and that your speed is "up to" 4Mbps and that they do not guarantee anything.

Yeah I'm hoping they don't do that, but its worth a try!
