ADSL Speed Brackendows

Hi Guys,

I bought a house in Brackendowns, and i am looking at getting ADSL line installed. Chatted to the previous owner because he had a wireless router installed. He said he was on a 4mb line and got speeds around 3.6mb... which i think is good, but he complained and said it was terrible. Anyways, back to the point, i want to know how i can see where the closest exchange to me is. On the telkom ADSL checker site, it shows my address supports 4mb. How can i check where the exchange is located?

The only two that I know of... are the one in Meyersdal that feeds Brackenhurst North, and the one in Albertsdal that feeds Brackendowns, Brackenhurst South, Albertsdals and Mayberry Park.

Our offices are in Brackendowns (just south of Hyacinth St) and we are connected to the Meyersdal exchange.

Initially we had an extremely unstable connection so the line speed had to be restricted to 2mb, but even then the line was up and down. There has been some work done in the area over the past couple of months, we are now running 6mb with improved stability but the line does drop a few times a week.
 
Thanks. Don't have the number yet but will call Telkom to get it, then i will test it. The house is closer to Albertsdal so i am sure that's the exchange i will be using.

Stability in the line is very important, won't bother if it is unstable.
 
Think my father in law is down in Brackendowns, on the Albertsdal exchange, know he's been having continues problems to the point that Telkom gave him a Telkom Mobile dongle for free and no cap.

Does anyone have the address of the Albertsdal exchange.
I only know of the Meyersdal exchange otherwise.
Does anyone know if the Alrode exchange is still up?
