Adsl speed issue netgear dgn2200

Hi there. I'm having an issue. I have a netgear dgn2200 v3 router and I like it cause I can use static ip for camera's an so on. The issue is that my 4mb line syncs only at 1.6mb and if I use a mweb router it syncs at 3.5mb. I went tru all the settings but can't seem to find what's causing this.

Hi Specia1one, it may be worth testing the Netgear with the same RJ11 cable you used to connect the MWEB router with. Are you testing both routers at the same phone jack? I'd also suggest restoring the Netgear's settings to factory defaults to see if that helps.

Hi thanks for reply. This is what I done today. I took my netgear dgn2200 v3 and reset, setup all again and still 1.6mb, connected another dgn2200 v2 router on same connection, same cable, same everything and got 3.5mb. I thought my router was faulty so I took it to work were I had the other router an a other mweb account, connect my "faulty router" and got 3.5mb. So router does work. Still don't understand what's causing the limitation at home. Only thing I can think off is that something at exchange doesn't work well with that specific router. Went to buy another netgear dgn2200 v4 today and getting 3.5mb stable connection at home. Also other thing to note is that before with "faulty router" I was running a 4mb line and speeds was good. Problems only started after telkom start having problems on the exchange. I did call mweb and telkom about this and they say that they find nothing wrong on there sides..
