Hi,

So I've been upgraded to 2mb line. But I hardly ever get over 50kps download speeds.

On my router it says my "rate" is 512kbs.

My "Statistics" says:
Mode: ADSL_ANSI_T1.413
Type: ATM
Status: Up

Code:
	 	Downstream	Upstream
Line Coding(Trellis):	On On
SNR Margin (dB):	483 310
Attenuation (dB):	105 55
Output Power (dBm):	76 118
Attainable Rate (Kbps):	11936 1168
Rate (Kbps): 512 256
D (interleaver depth):	1 1
Delay (msec): 0.13 0.25

HEC Errors: 0 0
OCD Errors: 0 0
LCD Errors: 0 0

Total ES: 0 0

You need to phone your ISP and tell them to bump your line speed to 2meg

Thanks, I've contacted them now. Hopefully I get a response soon. Is it a setting on their side or is it a physical line that they need to upgrade?

Ok, so I've got that up to 2048... And upload is now 512. But my speedtest results still a bit lackluster.

Are these speeds to be expected on 2mb or am I still missing something?

Code:
		Downstream	Upstream
Line Coding(Trellis):	On On
SNR Margin (dB):	244 270
Attenuation (dB):	280 65
Output Power (dBm):	157 121
Attainable Rate (Kbps):	6848 1212
Rate (Kbps): 2048 512
D (interleaver depth):	1 1
Delay (msec): 0.13 0.25

HEC Errors: 9 10

Yeah not sure if this is the "softcap" mode, or if there is another reason. So I'll await next month.

that looks horrible

why torture yourself for the rest of the month, just phone your ISP and ask whats up with the speed..
