adsl speed

what is going on with adsl
one second it works and then it is dead
is it just internet solutions or telkom as well

Im on the IS backbone via Datapro (uncapped adsl, fixed ip) and have the same problem for the last 3 weeks, international is worse than a yo-yo. Local is sort of ok, If you dont count the constant router crashes...(would the idiots in Japan stop port scanning me )

I used to be on MWeb adsl and NEVER had problems with international or local access, in fact my router only got cut off and changed ip address every 5 or so days. I dont know how I got that right with the overpriced useless Telkom POTS Router (proberbly the firmware upgrade I did) .

Now I have a FANCY Cisco router and suddenly Im more off than Ive every been in the last 2 years...

i spoke to the people at internet solutions and they have to sort out their argument about bandwith with telkom and dont know when it will be ok

I also have IS and my international speeds has gone to the dogs. Apparently they have not been capping for the past 3 months. This might be related if Telkom has found out.
