ADSL Speed

Will it make a difference on what speed you ADSL connection is when using 2 machines playing at the same time.

ie: Will the lag be less on a1024K line than on a 512K line.

Does line speed make a difference? I see some people playing with a ping of 20 or less on local servers while I never get close to that. I am using a 512K line at the moment with cables connecting the 2 machines to the ADSL modem/router.

When I had a 4mg line my lag in CS was ~20ms, with a 384 kb line my lag is ~50ms.

So there is a difference. But not always though, especially with international.

I've run 2 pc's on a 384 line without any issues.

you are going to have lag,the game needs to connect to an international server first before going to the local one (atleast the stats)

I m running 2 Pc's on a 512 line from past 1 years and not even faced a single problem .
