Just thought I'd post this... Kinda shocked me.

Dear Dyn Customer,
Your Dyn account "xxx", free hostname(s) will expire in 5 days. If you no longer need the hostname(s), simply disregard this email and allow expiration to occur.
Free hostnames must be updated every 30 days to remain active. Inactive hostnames will expire and be deleted.

So my ADSL has been up for 25 days, uninterrupted ...

Shocked that neither my line nor my ISP connection has dropped in 25 days. (router would have refreshed the DDNS entry automatically if either had happened)
 
Wish our office lines where that stable. My home connection is like yours, solid as a rock but not so lucky at our office.

If you were with another ISP, it would have dropped, complain and they give you another username.
 
In fairness, you'd have to consider line speed. A 384k on an acceptable line never ever falls over.
