ADSL still required

My son is pushing for Xbox on line. I have various 3G modems. Is ADSL still the preferred method given latency issues etc. The answer to this question will determine whether I am going to take up the telkom adsl offer that is expiring end nov 12.

Some guys do play with 3G but ADSL is the best option.
