What do you think of staff at the adsl department? Do they even have any formal training on adsl?Can u only imagine the stress those guys are under.

Have however had luck with a gentleman named Nicholas ( I am in Cape Town)[
] who phoned, was courteous etc, tried to help, I did some questioning regarding infrastructure, he answered but wasn't willing to put anything on paper and fax it to me.
Having been under the Telkom umbrella myself, management is harsh on those that tell the truth and are honest with clients because management would rather spend $$$$ on plying the Malaysian investors with golf trips etc.
Good on you Nicholas, I respect men who can stand up and be truthful to their conscience.

I think it is generally accepted that the people who actually do the "work" at Telkom are quite fine - like the guys who came and installed ADSL for us - they were excellent. It's the fat cats who are so out of touch that need the cracker up their ****.

I have had a good go at them and mind you they still very friendly and very helpful(some of them that is).Must be a real pain the butt for them to have to put up with my frustrations,knowing they have no impact on this "service" their company is offering.A few of them really seem to know their story and if stuck with a solution always calls me back and says...ok try this ..try that.......Good going chaps..help us fight our fight,to make your lives easier!!!
