I had re-install Windows XP on my PC and in the process lost, well, everything. I thought I had my CD to re-install my 'old' Telkom USB ADSL modem but it seems to evaporated. I cannot get through to any Telkom line, I cannot get through to any Telkom Direct shop to enquire as to where I can get a copy of the CD.

Does nayone know where I can download the installation software or get a copy of the installation CD?

Help!!

Thanks very much for the replies. I must confess that I was a little lost on the FTP site as I have no idea as to move forward. I'm no techincal boffin, I guess.

Anyhow, I searched through the archives and found references to Marconi. I logged on their site and, surprise surprise, I found a link to download the software, including a little pic of the modem.

This is the link: http://www.marconisa.co.za/adsl_pots_usb_software.htm

However (isn't there always a 'but'): there are two versions of the software: one for a 'bridge' install and the other for a 'PPPoE LLC' install.

There is no manual, so which one do I use?

From what I understand Telkom uses PPOE. Don't take my opinion as rock solid since I am not in SA yet. I am used to using bridged in the US. I am not sure about the LLC part but you basically need your PPOE username and password to record in your router.
