Im just wondering what is cheaper? I get a feeling that HSDPA is much cheaper! R389 for a 2GB international. Some might say its robbery! but remember you dont pay line hire to telkom like ADSL. Cheapest 4mb adsl I could find is R524 with 3GB and includes the line hire. Its very tempting. i allways thought that HSDPA was much more expensive but it now seems actually cheaper. What do you guys think?

I use both HSDPA and Telkom. And find telkom cheaper and more consistent than Vodafone. Only because allot of the time the vodafone switches over to GPRS. Which can really be frustrating.

Not only that but even the downloads on the HSDPA suck. Download a 100 meg file and the connection breaks. :(

So personally i choose telkom over all.

Yes but here where I stay I have full HSDPA with MTN and if not then 3G so for me it perfect. I only have had good experiance with MTN regarding data. Cause im struggling to fix my ADSL line with telkom. Every night it drops to under 100kbs so that is frustrating. Telkom say there is nothing they can do it due to tooooo much traffic on the exchange.

Depends on your usage really. If you only use 1gig-2gig of data, only for emails/surfing, maybe a few drivers or mini-vids. Then HSDPA should be oraaitish for you.

But many users do gaming, topup regular if they download like crazy. and Topup on ADSL is cheap. 1gig Prepaid(lasts 12 months/data rolls over) R70 @ Engen Garage.

Or the local usage with the news servers. I will miss that a lot I tell you!
