ADSL which one and what do I need

Hi
Please could you give me some guidance. I am considering connecting to Net via ADSL.
1. Is Telcom the only people that provide this facility?
2. If so, I am confussed about the cost, what will I pay for example Home ADSL R477 PM plus my telephone line rental R89.00 PM therefore +_ R566 pm excluding your phone calls.
3 Do I need a special modem ?
4. Anymore advice what I should do etc.

2. What speed do you want? HomeDSL is R450 I think currently + R89 + ISP cost ( R200 upwards)
3. Nope
4. Sign a month-to-month contract with your selected ISP! Not a 2-year contract!
