Hi guys!

hope you can please help me!!

just applied for adsl 3gb one package wih cybersmart, i got the router and telkom line within a week - impressed about that.

not so impressed that they told us they sending a duxberry wireless router, bu instead get some brand called Tenda? anyone heard of it? anyways, so we've followed all the instructions they hve given us, but the wireless connection isn't working, the connection is searchable, it shows full signal but it doesnt connect. well its connected with limited connectivity, and im sitting right next to the router. but when the router is plugged into the pc it works

Can someone please help me sort this out - btw i've phoned cybersmart, they not really sure what the problem is... cant help.

Thanking you in advance

You could remove the wireless drivers onn the pc reboot & reinstall the WiFi drivers. After that reboot the router if that does not work. Failing all that, ask for a replacement router. Btw what's the OS that you are running? Windows 7 has been known to give problems and certain routers needed a firmware update

hey,

running XP, well thats the thing, in the setup guide it says we must put in the discs and install the drivers, but no disc? because ive plugged in the router to the pc with a network cable, it didnt ask for drivers, if i plug it in with the usb it wants to install the drivers.

do you think this could be the problem? tried downloading drivers off the website, still trying... adsl i bit slow on international sites....

Usually when it says 'limited or no connectivity', it means that either you are trying to get an IP address via DHCP, which the modem is not setup to do, or you are in the incorrect range. eg, your modem is in the range 192.168.0.x and your wireless pc is in the range 192.168.1.x.

Try checking that
