ADSLmodem advice needed

I have a USB mecer adsl modem at work, but I don't like it. I think it's giving probs. When I try to connect it says something bout some problem with pppoe. I tested the modem at home and it doesn't seem to recognize the physical telkom line connection.

Now I am looking for a new modem, but I don't want to buy a router/modem with wifi in one because I dont need all that at work. All I need is a simple modem, like the ones telkom used to give out when adsl launched - with the single ethernet port. I went to a few shops but all they seem to have is the same crappy mecer USB modem.

Any recommendations please?

Billion 5200. Works well. Even spilt wine on mine and quess what - still working...

I have a 7404 vgo - with voice ports and it works well!

I can recommend a D-Link 2540, no wifi + 4 lan ports.

Your best bets are on D-Link, Netgear and Billion routers.
