Try to get one of the local companies that work with the community policing forum, The local guys often carry radios in their cars and attend to problems even if its not one of their clients via problems reported on the CPF radios.

ADT you will have to wait for dispatch to send.

Saw a bakkie race past our plot the weekend before last. I was mowing the lawn outside the fence by the road and waved him down as he came back. He stopped and we chatted a bit. I prefer them for 3 reasons:

1. They are close in our area so response times are good
2. They have the local Policing Forum radio in their cars. (Which the other response guys don't)
3. He had an LM6 on the front seat and was carrying a side arm.

So I don't know about other areas maybe it's very area dependent, but definitely Fidelity gets my vote where I live.

As above but join your local CPF and get involved.
You'll only then realise the amount of crime in your area.
ADT is also definitely not on my desirable list.
We have had endless hassles with ADT trying to get reports from them to enable us to settle claims.

Ignorance is bliss . . . Once you get that Radio you will be shocked at what you hear.

Every week there is a suicide somewhere.
House break-ins nearly every night
Theft from motor cars every night
Domestic Abuse is the biggest problem taking away Police resources.
