Advanced router required

Hi,

I'm looking for a router that could do some more than the standard issue ones for the office - about 20 people.

The need is to monitor the bandwidth usage of each workstation in MBytes per day.

Any recommendations?

ipcop - you can setup a squid proxy with full reporting.

I'm not going to fight over what distro to use. The end-user must make his/her own choice.

The distro must work for the end-user, not the other way round.

I agree with all of the above mentioned titles. Please also consider Mikrotik RouterOS. Whats perhaps also important to note is that you can phone a company like Miro who can assist you with RouterOS. Searching the internet to solve problems is fine. but its easier to phone someone close by who can also help.

Untangle has some very interesting features, you can control usage per group of users.

I personally use Smoothwall ........... just upgraded to Smoothwall 3.0 ..... very impressive. If you go the Smoothwall route you need to install the "Bandview" pack to monitor per IP address.
