Anyone recommend some good adventure games?
Last one i played was dracula-origins. Im looking for fairly new games or not older than um say 6 years lol ;)

ok, much older than 6 years but Grim Fandango is a classic ;) Newish ...... Eragon?

Farenheit was quite good if you haven't played it yet

hmm Farenheit might be good.LOL yea Grim Fandango is a classic.
Eragon? Dont know if that is any good but will check out a review.
Thank you for the help guys

Farenheit was great, and the Broken Sword Series.

My Ultimate Adventure game series is Gabriel knight but may be a little old for you...

QFT! I wasn't too fond of the second one though, the FMV look didn't really do it for me. The all-time classic is still "The sins of the fathers". I'm sure you'd remember "DJ bring sekey madule" :p

All the Lucas Arts games were stunning as well. Full Throttle also brings back fond memories.

BTW anyone looking for awesome (classic) adventure games, be sure to look into ScummVM and DosBox - 2 utils that are absolutely necessary to get old dos-based adventure games running!

:) Im young but i know Gabriel KNight..my friend loved that game:)
I can play scummvm games on my phone yay :)

Indiana jones and fate of atlantis works great with sound but writing so small :(

Heavenly Sword (PS3) is pretty cool...
Drakes Fortune (PS3) was awesome as well but couldve used more puzzles....

hey fanboi ..... stick to the console gaming section (sheesh, typical Sony fanboi )

:p

Sadly no... I was reminiscing the other day about it! It was one of the better FMV-based games, imho. Christopher Walken FTW!

Theres a newish adventure game Jack Keane, pretty fun, comical and what not... its kinda like monkey island which is also what u must play if u havnt

I have Ripper - but its a pain in the butt to tweak in order to get the sound not to stutter..

some other classics - (older ones) Rama, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Journeyman Project, Grim Fandango, GK Beast Within, Longest Journey...

Once upon a time - games were being made for ADULTS - whereas today, games are almost entirely made for the 12 - 17 year old markets... you get little or no real adult content (I dont mean swear words or sex - I mean nasty content that would give kiddies nightmares)
games are mostly very dumbed down now. Manufacturers dont want to offend the kiddies - rather give the kiddies more guns, shoulder pads on sci-fi uniforms, and eye-candy - as opposed to depth...

Anyone remember Under a Killing Moon? LOL

Think I still have that one - tucked away some where. Awesomeness. Picture capture, real actors and the like. Sort of like X Files game they had ages ago.

Just bought the Prince of Persia trilogy at Musica (R59) and that has some adventure.

Had you tried Dark Messiah of Might and Magic?

+1 Agreed

Guess they dont really make point and click anymore.
