Advice for line cancellation

I want to cancel my line soon and wanted to know the best way to go about it in your guy's experience. How long did it take and the if you paying still for a few months after the cancellation

I sent a request to cancel my phone line to Telkom 2 weeks ago. Still got no call back (and I'm pretty sure it's hitting the plont where it's not legal)

The don't phone you. Message them on Facebook to ensure that your line is cancelled after the 30day notice period... else they don't do it.
 
I sent them the cancellation form and followed up daily for about 5 weeks.

At the end of the day, it transpired that they cancelled from the date (+30 days) that I had first sent the form in.
