Advice Needed: Adding Maths and Physics After Matric

Hi everyone,

I just finished my matric in 2024, and I’m 19 years old. I’m looking to add Mathematics and Physics to my matric results, but I’ve realized I don’t qualify for Adult Matric because of my age.

Does anyone have advice on the best way to go about registering for these subjects.

Any tips on institutions, registration processes, or study resources would be greatly appreciated!

Would recommend the following : if this is because there is a specific course you want to do; go to the university and check if they have a bridging course of some sort.

Alternatively go to Dept of Education and ask them for options. Believe it or not; they are very helpful

If you are up to the task, you can study these on your own or find a tutor to help you and then register as an external candidate for exams that are sat in the May/June period. Lots of private and other government schools offer this option.
